Where's Wade?

Off to luxurious Palm Beach – unfortunately, no time for shopping on Worth Avenue or an afternoon at the beach or even time for some wonderful sightseeing, just a quick 24-hour visit. My mission: to meet renowned Palm Beach Daily News newspaper columnist, Christine Davis, who was interviewing me at one of our new member properties on magnificent Palm Beach Island, Florida. Home of Rod Stewart and Donald Trump, to name a few, Palm Beach has always been a playground for the rich and famous. From the prestigious world-famous Breakers Hotel to the beautiful palm tree-lined mansions, Palm Beach is a paradise all to its own.

Christine and I met at our member’s property, a beautiful 1940’s Georgian Colonial estate, re-designed by renowned architect Clarence Mack. The sprawling eight-bedroom mansion is elegant yet comfortable, featuring a lovely covered outdoor entertaining and lounging area, pool, and courtyard. The estate is gated and features absolutely gorgeous grounds. We spent the morning talking about the history of Palm Beach, our newly added member property and, of course, 3RD HOME. It was a pleasant conversation filled with a great

exchange of information, and we are anxiously waiting to see our article that will appear in the "shiny sheet" sometime very soon.

I also had the wonderful opportunity to meet with Grace Brown, Realtor from The Corcoran Group. Her firm is currently marketing this 8,800-sq.-ft. property at 211 Jungle Road for $9,950,000. Their company specifically targets higher-end properties, with sales from NY to Palm Beach of over $18 billion. Even though the property is for sale, since it is not in use every week of the year, our member wanted to take advantage of our 3RD HOME exchange program. He is very excited about trading his beautiful home in Palm Beach for another property somewhere else in the world. Grace and I had a scrumptious lunch at the new trendy Brazilian Court Hotel, restaurant Café Boulud. Famed NY Chef Daniel Boulud has taken up residence in Palm Beach, opening this outstanding culinary experience. I am not sure which item on the brunch menu I liked best, the “to die for” cauliflower soup, or the “better than going to Tuscany” ravioli or the very rich and tantalizing apple crisp. All I know was that their brunch was superb, and I enjoyed every minute and bite of it.

Then, back to Atlanta on Delta, just in time for my son Adam’s 7th birthday adventure – the giant truck extravaganza at the Georgia Dome. For a split second, especially after my visit to Palm Beach that morning, I thought I saw Donald Trump jumping into the front cab of a giant red monster truck! Or...maybe not.
